Greetings all,

   Our show this past month was spectacular - beautiful orchids on display, lots of plants for sale, and a chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Many thanks to all the MOS'ers who volunteered to make our show such a success - it would not be possible without your hard work. Also, a big thank you to all who brought plants for display - and to Fenwick for arranging them so artfully in the MOS exhibit - followed by a hearty congratulations to those fortunate to take home an award! But the biggest thank you is to Charles Wilson, and his lovely bride Susan, who served as Chairman this year. They put in a lot of hard work and the results were self-evident! Check out the reports below on the TWO shows that Memphis Orchid Society participated in recently!

   Please watch for and extend an additional special welcome to two new members: Tricia Olson of Germantown and Geoff Wilson of Memphis.

   With November now arriving we'll have our monthly meeting (PLEASE NOTE: THE DATE CHANGE) at the Botanic Garden with a featured event being election of officers - so be sure to attend and cast your ballot! There will undoubtedly be a great program, good food, lots of idle chitchat, and quite possibly an orchid or two to trade or sell. Don't miss it!

   There is no way that I can truly list all the wonderful members nor the incredible list of tasks they performed and foods they provided to make our show such a success! Please know that from the many kind comments I received from our visiting exhibitors, societies and judges that YOU, our members, are truly friendly, helpful and considered to be Memphis' greatest strength.
