From President |

Greetings all,
Well, I always comment on the weather at the beginning of each column and this month the lovely Virginia mentioned that people are probably tired of my constant tirades regarding our climate. Therefore in deference to her wishes I'm not going to say a word about how miserably and wretchedly HOT and HUMID it is this week. So without further delay I'll move into the President's Column.
We've got a great meeting lined up this month with Mickey Connell of Orchid Country coming to speak on "Growing Dendrobiums". Mickey, who along with his lovely bride Leslie are long time MOS friends and members, will not only be presenting a terrific program, but will also be presenting us with any opportunity to do what we all like to do best - and that's buy more orchids! So don't forget to bring you check book - or cash if you're like me and don't want to leave an incriminating paper trail.
We had a wonderful meeting last month and as I was leaving it occurred to me that we always have a great turnout of members for our meetings and more importantly that we have a special bunch of people as MOS members - each and every one. And I can't think of a better way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon than visiting with people you like and talking about orchids! See you Sunday.
Michael Rowland, MOS President
P.S. - I can't help myself; it's really, really miserably hot and humid!! |
