Charles Wilson gave a report for the Planning Committee. The budget proposal was adopted and the committee will use the new year to to resolve financial issues. The committee asks that the incoming president please consider the following suggestions: (Here is where YOU as a member look for committees you'd be interested in joining!)
  • Form a Membership committee (may need to amend budget to assist this effort).
  • Form a Long-term Finance committee.
  • Form a Program committee to assist the Program chairman. (Doug's shoes are too big for just one person to fill!)

(The 2008 Officers (l to r): VP Chuck, Pres Barbara, Secretary Laura, Treasurer Debra)

The Nominating Committee brought us this slate of officers to serve in 2008 who were unanimously elected:

President - Barbara Baker
Vice President - Chuck Pintner
Treasurer - Debra Baker
Recording Secretary - Laura Evans
Hospitality Secretary - Ali Hooks
Show Chairman - Alex Kumok

Please let these people know if you are interested in any of the above listed areas, either to learn, help or just offer suggestions! We need understudies to learn and later take on these responsibilities.

Alex Kumok reiterated the need for members to participate and contribute in any way. "Ask not what your society can do for you, but what you can do for your society."
