Orchid Swap. Bring cuttings, divisions, or any other orchids you wish to give away. Don't worry if you don't have any to share. Come get some free plants!

Biologist and MOS member Forrest Brem of the University of Memphis will present "Green Growers: Orchid advice for beginners." We will also have an orchid auction.

Annual Show and Sale

Sam Tsui of Orchid Inn will speak to us about paphiopedilums, the slipper orchids. He will bring plants to sell.

July 22

Robert Fuchs of R.F. Orchids visits us from Florida to speak about vandas. He will bring plants to sell.

August, 26

Jean Ikeson, co-chair of the American Orchid Society editorial board, visits us from Canada. Jean will speak about sarcochilus orchids.

September 23

MOS members Ellen Watson and Andrea Price will present "Indoors or in the Greenhouse: How to grow your favorite orchids." We will also have an orchid auction.

October 28

Manolo Arias of Peruflora visits us from Peru. He will present "Orchids of Peru" and will bring plants to sell.

MOS member Melissa Garner will present on Latouria dendrobium breeding trends and colors. We will also have an orchid auction.

Annual Show and Sale

Monthly Meetings

Meetings take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Memphis Botanic Garden unless otherwise noted.

Monthly Orchid Judging

MOS member Melissa Garner is currently enrolled in the American Orchid Society judging program and  visits the judging center in St. Louis about once a month.

If you have a plant you would like  to have considered for AOS judging, please contact Melissa to confirm she is going and to coordinate plant drop-off and pickup.  Plants must be dropped off by 7 p.m. the evening prior to the judging date.
